F.A.Q. About Your Personalized Ceremony
What is a Personalized Wedding Ceremony? When we personalize your ceremony, we utilize information from our conversations to make their wedding different than any other. We talk about things such as how you met, meaningful moments in your relationship. We take some of the information and put it in your ceremony. The rest of the details give us a picture of who you are as a couple so that your wedding feels like it was created just for you.
How long is your average ceremony? Personalized ceremonies are typically 20 to 30 minutes in length. Simple custom weddings, around 15-20. An elopement (simple civil) lasts about 10 minutes.
What is a simple civil ceremony/elopement and how much does it cost? The simple civil ceremonies last about 10 minutes. They include opening words, vows, a ring exchange and the pronouncement of the wedded couple. You have choices on how much spiritual content to include, if any. Current package pricing can be found here: http://www.revzaro.com/ceremony-packages
Where do you perform ceremonies? We perform ceremonies in the Hudson Valley, Westchester, Upstate NY and Northern, NJ for the most part. We do travel to other areas from time to time as well.
I am getting married very soon. Is a consultation required? Yes, but it can be via phone, Skype or E-mail. It can be as short as 5 minutes for a very simple ceremony. If time allows, we can meet in-person, but it is not necessary. Most information can be gathered by phone.
My fiancee and I are from different religious backgrounds and we would like a ceremony that reflects both of our spiritual upbringings. Is that something you can do? Yes. During our initial consultation, we will ask you about your backgrounds and if there are any religious readings, other text or traditions you would like to include.
My fiancee and I have children from our previous marriages. We would like to include them in our ceremony. Is this possible? Definitely! Family vows are a beautiful way to add another layer of commitment to your ceremony. By children and adults taking part in your wedding, they make promises to support your union and each other.
Do I have to have any religious or spiritual references in my ceremony to book with you? No, we do secular (no religious references) ceremonies as well. It is YOUR ceremony and will be designed to reflect your wishes.
Do you perform same sex wedding ceremonies? Yes, provided the preceedings are legal in the state the ceremony is performed.
Do you perform any ceremonies other than weddings? We also create simple and personalized vow renewals, baby, home, office and animal blessings.
Can you include cultural traditions in the ceremony? Absolutely! During your consultation we will ask if there are any in particular, ex. hand-tying, broom jumping, candle ceremonies, etc., that you would like to include.
What about sand, candle or flower ceremonies? Most of the ceremonies we do include a sand, candle or flower ceremony. There are many different versions and we are happy to help you pick what is most appropriate for your ceremony if you are having difficulty choosing. If you have never heard of these options, not to worry, we will go into further detail during our consultation.
Do you write the ceremony or do I? 99.9% of the time, we personalize your ceremony based on our conversations. If you prefer to write your own ceremony, by all means, we are happy to perform it for you; however designing personalized ceremonies is our specialty and joy!
Will I see the ceremony before my wedding day? Yes! we strongly encourage that both you and your fiancee review the ceremony material. It is YOUR ceremony after all. There may be something in the ceremony that you would like to change and we are never offended. My job is to make your day special and reflective of the two of you as a couple. If you would like to change anything at all, just tell us. Most of the time, minimal, if any, changes are requested.
What if I need to make changes to the ceremony? Not a problem. We have made minor changes on location at ceremonies. For major content changes, please contact us at least 72 hours prior to your event.
What are your fees? General package information is on this website at http://www.revzaro.com/ceremony-packages. Please contact us for specific pricing and availability at 845-222-5146 or firstname.lastname@example.org.

Is pre-wedding counseling required? No, but we are happy to listen if you need to talk a bit about your plans and can recommend local counselors for you.
Will my wedding with you be recognized by my church or temple? Be sure to check with your clergy person to verify this information. If you are unsure who to contact, we would be happy to assist you.
Do you file the signed license or do I? After the ceremony, your witnesses and Officiant will sign the license. We will make a copy for you if there is a copy machine for you on-site. Then, we take care of mailing the document. If you are getting married in NYC, you will need to sign the license again in the presence of one of our NYC licensed officiants.
